STATE LADIES’ AUXILIARY REPORT 2022
The Oregon State Ladies’ Auxiliary met August 19th, 2022 at the Redmond library. There were 21 ladies present with 11 churches represented. We opened with a song led by Sister Penny Stewart of the Redmond MBC. Sister Gale Chandler from Coquille lead in prayer. Sister Glenda McCarn from Redmond gave the welcome and Sister Brenda Hubbard of Grants Pass gave the response.
Our president, sister Lynnette Dever of Roseburg gave a devotional entitled truth from Galatians 1:6-11. No matter what people want to say, there are absolutes in life, 2 + 2 always equals 4, we need to protect the truth.
Following the devotion, we had some discussion about whether or not to continue having a lady’s retreat, which ended with The Hermiston ladies decision to host the 2023 ladies retreat.
The ladies of the host church did not have an official program planned so instead we had some great discussion That started with Sister Hayes expressing her gratitude for the prayers and support she and Brother Hayes have received this year. Others shared struggles they've had and blessings they've had. discussion about the future of the ABA followed, ending with a discussion about ways to encourage the young people in our churches to keep going and step up in their own way. Following this discussion, we had our business session of the meeting. The letters were read and the messengers were seated. The 2021 minutes were read and approved. The 2021 treasures report was also read & approved. There was no old business. New business: we voted to make Sister Dolores Vaughn our state goal for 2022 /2023. We also voted to make Sister Dolores Vaughn, the recipient of our offering.
