The messengers met for the Sixty Fifth Annual Session at First Missionary Baptist Church, Bend, OR.
Bro. Jim Rose led the congregation in singing Jesus Saves, Tell Me the Old Old Story
Bro. David Dever led in prayer
Bro. Jimmy Hubbard brought a seminar entitled Change the Bait and Bro. Cory Holcomb brought a seminar on Technology and the Church.
Bro. Jim Rose led the congregation in singing Where We’ll Never Grow Old
Services were turned over to Bro. Rod Williams as moderator.
Bro. Jimmy Hubbard came forward and gave the welcome for the host church.
Bro. Williams called for the reading of church letters. The names of each church and the names of the messengers were read from 14 letters. The messengers stood for recognition and were seated.
M/S/C to seat the messengers
M/S/C to accept the agenda as presented by the 1st Missionary Baptist Church Bend, OR subject to change by messengers. Motion Carried.
Bro. Mike Hoover was introduced as the new pastor in Nyssa, Or.
There were no Proposed Article of Faith Changes
Bro. Chandler, Bro. Counts and Bro. Hoover were appointed to the Memorial Committee.
Bro. Rose led the congregation in singing I Will Meet You In the Morning
Bro. Williams came forward and delivered the Moderator’s Address titled Trust Only Jesus using Psalms 62 as his text.
The congregation sang Be Still My Soul led by Bro. Rose
Bro. Williams dismissed the messengers until 3:30. Dismissed in prayer by Bro. Jim Hubbard

The Messenger body met back together at 3:30 following the individual Ladies, Men and Young People’s meetings.

Bro. Williams introduced Bro. Tom Dever, from Roseburg, OR to give the Annual Sermon. Bro. Dever’s sermon was titled: Super Abounding Grace and he used Romans 5:20 as his text.

Bro. Jimmy Hubbard gave Bro. Dever the right hand of appreciation for the sermon.

Services were opened with singing He Set Me Free led by Bro. Rose and in prayer by Bro. Jimmy Hubbard.
Bro. Jack Williams came forward and brought the morning devotional using I Corinthians 15:57 as his text.
Bro. Chandler came forward and gave Bro. Williams the right hand of appreciation.
There were no proposed permanent resolutions, missionary endorsements, nor recommendations for state missionaries. There was no need for a Northwest Development meeting.
